BOOKKEEPER 
MONTREAL, QC

JOB DESCRIPTION

Full time position in Montreal, QC
(Part-time remote working optional)

Dime MTL is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team.  

The bookkeeper will focus on accounts receivable and accounts payable, working closely with the financial controller and various department leaders. The bookkeeper communicates with retail partners and suppliers to ensure payments are received on time. The ideal candidate has effective communication skills, an excellent attention to details and a strong understanding of mathematics.

 

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Accounts receivable

  • Preparing invoices
  • Communicating and maintaining a relationship with retail partners
  • Collecting payments

Accounts payable

  • Record all invoices
  • Validate expenses with department leaders
  • Prepare payments

Other

  • Prepare reports for monthly budgeting
  • Maintain department budgets based on expenses
  • Participate in month-end processes
  • Perform bank reconciliation and journal entries
  • Work on various requests according to the needs of the Finance department

QUALIFICATIONS

  • DEC or post-secondary diploma in finance, bookkeeping or accounting
  • At least 1 year experience as a bookkeeper
  • Intermediate level of Microsoft Excel
  • Understanding of Quickbooks, or similar accounting software
  • Fluent in English
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Great attention to detail and accuracy
